It will provide you with reliably clean, pure vapor, and an experience that you can customize to fit your needs. Herbalizer can provide you with vaportherapy.

  • Vaportherapy™: the use of heat to extract the essential oils from herbs, concentrates or oils directly, for an aromatic experience that makes a person feel better.

Keep in mind, every person reacts differently to various herbs and aromas.

Over time you will fine-tune your preferences to best suit your needs.

What's in the Box

Your Herbalizer packaging box can be reused as a travel case.  Make sure you keep the inner foam as well to keep the unit secure during transport.  When you want to take your Herbalizer with you, simply pack your unit into the original package and you are good-to-go!

Note: Even if you don’t want to use it as a carrying case, you should keep the Herbalizer packaging. If your Herbalizer ever needs to be sent in for repair, the original packaging must be used in order for the repair to be considered under the warranty.

The Herbalizer smart technology enables capabilities previously unimaginable.  For the first time ever, control how you feel through precise extractions, instantaneously.  From Uplifting at the lower temperature 290⁰-330⁰F, to Balanced between 330⁰-390⁰F, to the Intense effects between 390⁰-445⁰F.  Each temperature extracts something different, and has a unique effect.  With the Herbalizer’s precise temperature control, the effects are repeatable and controllable.

  • Tilt Sense Technology: The Herbalizer has a 3-axis accelerometer that detects motion and automatically stops the heater and fan if the unit is tipped over beyond a 30-degree angle.  You will notice this feature activates when the screen displays “I AM DIZZY PUT ME ON A LEVEL SURFACE” on the LCD.
  • Auto LCD Dimming: There is a light sensor in the unit which will adjust the brightness of the display based on the amount of ambient light in the room.
  • Screensaver: The Herbalizer has an animated screensaver that activates after the unit has been inactive for 20 minutes.  Press the fan button and Herbie will wake up and the fan will turn on (press the fan button again to turn it off).
  • Auto Shutoff: The Herbalizer automatically shuts off after 30 minutes of inactivity.
  • Auto Cooling Fan: The Herbalizer is equipped with a cooling fan to prevent overheating.  The fan will automatically activate periodically to help cool the unit down.  If you have the temperature set to 421°F the cooling fan will run continuously after 3 minutes.
  • Assisted Delivery Fan Auto-off: The Herbalizer’s assisted delivery fan automatically shuts off after 90 seconds.

Once you open the lid you are greeted by the Herbalizer’s user interface.  There are four physical buttons and a color LCD that displays all relevant information.

The first thing you will notice upon opening the lid is the LCD automatically activates and you will be greeted with a welcome message, then see the Herbalizer logo. If the Herbalizer is already open but has turned off (after 30 minutes of inactivity), press the power button (1st round button on the left of the device panel) to turn it on.

Next, choose the temperature you’d like to Herbalize at, either by cycling through the preset temperatures with the Quick Temp Button (3rd round button on the right of the device panel with heat graphic), or by using the Temperature Control Bar.

Quick Temp Button: Tap to cycle through preset temperatures: 290°F, 330°F, 390°F, and 445°F

Temperature Control Bar: It adjusts the temperature (by single degrees) for your preferred extraction. This will affect how you will feel. Change between Fahrenheit and Celsius by pressing both the – and + at the same time for 2 seconds.

Fan Button: Center button on interface with fan graphic. The function of this button depends on your selected mode. It activates the assisted delivery.

The unit will not turn on.

  • Ensure that the cord is plugged into the outlet and securely connected to the back of the unit.
  • Open the lid entirely. The unit will not turn on until the lid is opened completely.

Vapor production seems weaker than usual, or Bags are taking longer to fill.

  • When the Inspirator Assembly, Bag, or Bowl are dirty they can affect performance. Try cleaning these parts to see if performance improves.
  • You can check to see if there is a clog by separating the two halves of the magnetic bowl and blowing through the top section. Blowing through the top where the inspirator is inserted might dislodge a clog.  Do not attempt when Bowl is hot.
  • The Herbalizer unit should be on a clean, level, and hard surface. Make sure nothing is blocking the air intake on the bottom of the unit.
  • Check to see that the two halves of the Bowl are securely connected and all connections with the Inspirator Assembly and Bag are secure.
  • Make sure the magnetic bowl is seated flat and fully engaged on the oven outlet.

The unit says “I AM DIZZY PUT ME ON A LEVEL SURFACE”

  • For safety the Herbalizer has a built in 3-axis accelerometer that is able to tell if your unit has been knocked over is not on a level surface. If you receive this notice, place the unit on a level surface and normal functionality should resume.

The inspirator is not fitting inside the unit very well.

  • Start by laying the long nozzle over the corresponding icon in the Herbalizer unit. Wrap the Inspirator along the channel in a counter clockwise direction.  The Inspirator should lay flat enough for the lid to close.

“Service Needed” message appears on LCD screen.

The whip keeps kinking and the airflow is being affected.

  • Time to replace the whip. Replacement whips are available for purchase on our accessories page.

VAPORTHERAPY™ with herbs and concentrated extracts

The Herbalizer is changing how people herbalize with herbs and concentrated extracts. Now you control the intensity of your experience with precise heat settings, from 290°F to 445°F. Cool to hot, uplifting to intense, the Herbalizer enables consistent, high-quality vapor for a personalized experience. Customize your relief through precise extractions and repeatable effects.

Set Temperature: setpoint temperature in the bowl

Progress Bar: heating indicator (red on left), or cooling indicator (blue on right)

Heater Intensity: halogen heater power indicator

Temperature Spectrum: temperature-experience range

Zone: guideline to expected experience

Remove the Magnetic Bowl: tilt the bowl lid forward.Do not pull directly up.

Separate: twist ¼ turn counter-clockwise to separate the two halves.

Then load only halfway with dry herbs, concentrates, or oils.

Every herb contains a multitude of active oils, which when heated, will vaporize.  Each molecule has a specific “boiling temperature” at which it change from its oil state into a vapor. And, each molecule affects you differently.  Now, you can precisely control what you extract. With precise temperature control, you can control what you extract, and therefore, how you feel.

Generally, nature has set it that at the lower temperature the extracted ingredients are uplifting, energizing, and focusing.  At high temperature the effect is very intense. And at mid-temperatures a person feels in between, and balanced.

1. Grind your herbs well.  A medium to course grind is optimal.

2. Load ½ to ⅔ with herb for best results

Apply your concentrated extracts to one of the included Concentrate Pads. Place the empty Concentrate Pad into the Bowl. Place the loaded Concentrate Pad on top of the empty Concentrate Pad. Keep the concentrated extracts on the top side of the loaded Concentrate Pad.

The ideal temperature for concentrates is 400⁰F – 445⁰F.  A small amount goes a long way because there is no burning, and therefore no waste. The vaporization is complete when there is no more visible vapor or flavor.

  • You can combine multiple types of herbs in the Bowl at the same time to experience the full power of the Herbalizer. Try adding mint to your favorite herb for a more refreshing experience.

  • There are three intensity zones on the Herbalizer: Uplifting, Balanced, and Intense. These correspond to the type of effects you might expect.

  • You can select a specific range of compounds by running the assisted delivery at one temperature to “cook off” the compounds you don’t want, and then increase the temperature to release only those that boil off in the new temperature range.

  • Try starting at a lower temperature and working your way up to a higher temperature. Once you reach the intensity you like you can repeat this in future sessions with the same herb.

  • Playing around with different temperatures in various orders and combinations can reveal a lot about your herbs. Try experimenting to see what temperature ranges work best for your needs.

  • Less is more. You can use varying amounts of herbs inside the Bowl.  Using a medium to course grind of material provides the best vapor production.  Do not pack the ground material into the bowl.  Make sure you provide enough space for the ground material to expand inside the magnetic bowl once air is drawn through.

  • When mixing concentrates or oils with herbs, use a very small amount of concentrated extracts. A little goes a long way.

  • You can combine herbs and concentrates if you layer the concentrate on top of the ground herb. Sprinkle a small layer of ground herb in the bottom of the Bowl and place a small amount of concentrate on top.

  • Bag Vapor is best enjoyed within 15 minutes of filling the bag. After 30 minutes it may begin to condense on the inside of the bag.

Once you get the hang of how to use the Herbalizer you can really start experimenting with all the nuances of the device.  Try out some of these advanced tips to really take your experience to a whole new level.

There are three intensity zones on the Herbalizer:

1. Uplifting zone ranges from 290°F-330°F (143°C-166°C).

  • This zone can be milder in effect.
  • When trying new herbs, it can be a good idea to start in this zone. You can increase the temperature slowly as you get a feel for the effects of the vapor.
  • Active compounds are released at lower temperatures even if no visible vapor is produced.

2. Balanced zone ranges from 330°F-390°F (166°C-199°C).

  • This zone can be more of a balanced mix of the uplifting and intense zones.
  • Experimenting with the upper and lower ranges in this zone can push the effect more towards balanced or intense.
  • Try working your way up to the balanced zone by starting in Uplifting.

3. Intense zone ranges from 390°F-445°F (199°C-229°C).

  • The upper end of the temperature range can provide stronger effects.
  • When trying a new herb sometimes it is best not to jump right into the intense zone. You might miss some of the more subtle effects from the lower zones, or you might find that intense is to strong for your taste.
  • Try working your way up to the intense zone by starting in balanced.

The grinder card increases the surface area of herbs and assists in creating higher quality vapor production. For best results we suggest that grind your herbs before vaporizing.  To use the herb grinder card scrape herbs downward on the card (just like grating cheese).  Avoid a mess by grinding into a small container or tray.

If you are trying to lower the temperature, running the fan will help cool the unit down faster. The blue progress bar will show you how much the unit needs to cool before it reaches the desired temperature.

You will get better vapor production if you allow the herbs to preheat with the unit. Placing a loaded magnetic bowl on the oven outlet as the unit is reaching temperature will produce vapor more quickly.

Removing the magnetic bowl and shaking in between hits can dislodge any material that gets stuck on the top screen. This might improve vapor production in some instances.

The Herbalizer is the perfect single-kernel popcorn maker. Place one or two popcorn kernels inside the magnetic bowl with the top half separate.  Turn the Herbalizer up to 445°F and start the fan assist.  After some time the kernel corn will pop.  Not too practical, but you cam impress your friends with this amazing trick.

Three Delivery Methods

Set the temperature using the – and + buttons on the control bar.

Place the Magnetic Bowl on the oven outlet.

Attach the Squeeze Valve bag by fully pressing it all the way down over top of the bowl outlet nozzle (not as shown).

Press the fan button to fill the bag with vapor.  Once it’s full, turn off the fan by pressing the fan button again.  Remove the bag by simply lifting it off the bowl.

Set the temperature using the – and + buttons on the control bar.

Place the Magnetic Bowl on the oven outlet.

Attach the Inspirator by inserting the bowl plug into the top of the Bowl, using a twisting motion while applying slight downward pressure.  Do not force the plug in, as it can become difficult to remove.  To remove the Inspirator, use a slight twisting motion while pulling.

Note: Press the optional fan button to turn on assisted delivery.

Freestyle works best in a 12’x12’ or smaller room.

Place the Bowl on the oven outlet.

Press the fan mode to turn on assisted delivery.

Let the vapor escape into the air no inspirator, no bag, just fill the room.

Care & Maintenance

The Herbalizer comes with a brush to help clean up loose debris and keep the unit tidy between uses.  Over time oils will begin to deposit inside the Magnetic Bowl, Inspirator Assembly, and Bag.  If enough oil builds up this will affect the performance of your unit.  To prevent this from happening you should perform a deep cleaning of the Herbalizer components periodically.

In order to clean the Herbalizer you will need a few items:

  • Cleaning Brush (included in accessory pack)
  • Isopropyl Alcohol
  • Warm/Hot Water
  • Cotton Swab
  • Soft Cloth
  • A Small Cup or Shallow Container

Once you have these supplies you should be able to keep your Herbalizer up and running at peak performance.  Depending on your usage habits you could go a month or more without needing to do much cleaning.  Regular cleaning and maintenance will help insure that the unit runs well.  Below you will find instructions how to clean each part of the Herbalizer.

Note: Do not submerge, use damp cleaning tools only. The warranty does not cover damage caused by liquid spills.

Note: Oily residue dissolves in isopropyl alcohol, and all Herbalizer parts are iso-safe.

Note: Over time you will need to replace the silicone tubes and the bags as they will become worn out.  You can find those and more supplies on our website.

Note: Use of concentrates will cause the upper magnetic bowl screen to clog quickly.  More frequent cleaning might be required if you regularly use concentrates.

Wipe the area where you place the Bowl with a soft cloth soaked in isopropyl alcohol.

Use a cloth with a little Isopropyl Alcohol applied to clean the surface of the unit.

Over time the inside of the Bowl will become dirty and develop an oily buildup.

Performing a deep clean of the Bowl is simple.

First separate the two two halves and remove the silicone grips.

Remove the screens.

They are held in place and will pop out with a slight push using the back side of the cleaning brush.

Rinse the Bowl under warm water.

Place the magnetic bowl halves and screens in a cup of Isopropyl Alcohol and soak for 10 minutes.

Agitate the container every few minutes.

Dip a cotton swab in Isopropyl Alcohol and use it to clean the Bowl.

Rinse the Bowl and screens under warm water again.

Dry the screens and the Bowl with a soft cloth.

Slide the screens back in place inside the Bowl.

Replace the silicone grips by lining up the grooves with the Bowl.

Note: Make sure your Bowl is completely dry before using it again.

Separate the mouthpiece and the bowl plug from the silicone tube.

Place both pieces in a cup of Isopropyl Alcohol and soak for 10 minutes. Agitate the container every few minutes.

Rinse the silicone tube under warm water and rub clean with Isopropyl Alcohol and soft cloth.

Remove the long nozzle and the bowl coupling from the alcohol and rinse under warm water.

Assemble the inspirator by placing the long nozzle and coupling back in the silicone tube.

Over time the hose will become worn out and need to be replaced. Replacement are available for purchase on our accessories page.

After each session it is a good idea to wipe down the mouthpiece with Isopropyl Alcohol.

You can also use a cotton swab dipped in Isopropyl Alcohol to clean the inside of the mouthpiece.

When not in use remove all the air from the bag and fold back up to store.

Over time the Bags will wear out and need to be replaced. Replacements are available for purchase on our accessories page.

Place the Concentrate Pad in a cup of Isopropyl Alcohol and soak for 10 minutes.
Agitate the container every few minutes.
Rinse the Concentrate Pad under warm water and dry.

  • The more you perform routine cleanings the less you will need to deep clean the device. This can be as simple as emptying the Bowl while it is still warm, wiping the surface clean after use, and cleaning the Inspirator Assembly regularly.

  • Wiping clean the inside of the Bowl while it is still warm is much easier than trying to wipe it clean once it gets cold. Warning: Bowl will be hot.  Use caution when handling.

  • Over time the top screen will become clogged. Swap the top and bottom screens in the Bowl, and then run at 445⁰F for self-cleaning.

  • Try adding salt to the Isopropyl Alcohol soaking solution. The salt will not dissolve in the solution.  When you agitate the container the salt will act as an abrasive and help scrub objects clean.

  • Isopropyl Alcohol comes in two concentrations: 70% and 99%. The 99% Isopropyl Alcohol works best, but it can also be hard to find.
